A different kind of routine
Fort Myers Beach dogs live on a different schedule than mainland dogs. Early walks before the heat and sandy paws, mid-afternoon naps while the trolley and beach traffic peak, and an evening stroll once the sand cools. We adjust visits around that rhythm — your dog isn't standing on hot sand at noon waiting for a walker who didn't think about it.
Dog Beach and Estero Boulevard
Dog Beach Park at the very south end of Estero Boulevard near the Lovers Key bridge is the iconic spot — off-leash, fenced, fresh-water rinse station on the way out. The catch is the heat and the parking, so we time visits to your dog's tolerance. For shorter visits, the side streets off Estero Boulevard offer quieter walks with shade.
Post-hurricane awareness
The island has changed since Hurricane Ian. We're up to speed on what's open, what's under construction, and which areas are still tricky to navigate with a leashed dog. If your home is being repaired, we can still do drop-in visits during work hours so your pet has steady company through the chaos.
Tides, weather, and sandy paws
Salt water and hot sand are tough on paws. We rinse off after every beach visit, watch tides for the dogs who love a wade, and avoid storms by checking radar before every walk.
