Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Walks & Wags ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website at walksandwagsfl.com or use our pet care services. Walks & Wags is owned and operated by Danielle Rowe in Bonita Springs, Florida.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly and a small amount of technical information collected automatically.

Information you provide

  • Contact form and lead capture form: name, phone number, email address, pet details, dates, and any notes you choose to share.
  • Communications: any messages you send us by text, email, phone, or through the website.
  • Client intake: for booked clients, we collect additional information needed to care for your pet — home access details, emergency contacts, vet information, feeding and medication instructions, and pet medical history.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic analytics: pages visited, browser type, device type, approximate location (city level), and how you arrived at the site. This helps us understand which content is useful.
  • Cookies: small files stored in your browser. We may use cookies to remember your theme preference (light or dark) and to suppress the new-client popup after you have seen it.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule a meet-and-greet.
  • To provide pet care services you have booked and to communicate with you about visits.
  • To send service-related messages (visit confirmations, update photos, invoices).
  • To keep your pet safe — including sharing relevant information with your veterinarian in an emergency.
  • To improve our website and services.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for advertising. We do not use it for marketing automation beyond direct, one-to-one communication from Walks & Wags.

3. Who we share information with

We only share information with third parties when necessary to provide service or comply with law:

  • Veterinarians and emergency contacts you have authorized, in the event of a pet emergency.
  • Service providers that help us run the business — for example, the form-submission service that delivers contact form messages to our email. These providers are bound to handle the information securely.
  • Law enforcement or legal process, only when legally required.

4. How we protect your information

Client information is stored securely. Physical keys (when used) are tagged with a code, never your name or address, and stored in a locked location. Digital records are kept on password-protected devices. We retain client records for as long as needed to provide service and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return.

5. Your choices

  • Opt out of communication: reply STOP to any text, unsubscribe from any email, or simply tell us.
  • Request your information: email us and we'll send you a copy of what we have on file.
  • Request deletion: we'll delete your information on request, except where we're legally required to keep it.
  • Cookies: you can disable cookies in your browser. The site will still work, but theme preferences and popup suppression may not persist.

6. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for a reasonable period.
