Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Walks & Wags website and pet care services. By booking with us or using this site, you agree to these terms. Walks & Wags is owned and operated by Danielle Rowe in Bonita Springs, Florida.
1. Services
We provide in-home pet sitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight care, cat care, puppy visits, medication administration, vet drop-off and pickup, and related pet care services across Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, and Cape Coral. Specific services for your booking are confirmed in writing (text or email) before service begins.
2. Meet-and-greet
All new clients are required to complete a free meet-and-greet before service begins. This gives us a chance to meet your pet, understand routines, confirm home access, and exchange emergency contact details. If we cannot reach an agreement on the safe and humane care of your pet during the meet-and-greet, we reserve the right to decline service.
3. Bookings and confirmations
Bookings are confirmed when we acknowledge them in writing. A booking is not held until confirmed. Holiday and peak-season weeks fill quickly — we recommend booking as early as possible.
4. Payment
We accept Venmo, Zelle, cash, and credit or debit cards. Payment terms are confirmed at booking. For multi-day or multi-week services, partial payment in advance may be requested. Invoices not paid within the agreed timeframe may accrue a reasonable late fee.
5. Cancellations
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled visit will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a partial fee, which will be clearly communicated. For overnight care, holiday bookings, and multi-day services, longer cancellation windows may apply — these are confirmed in writing at booking.
6. Keys, home access, and security
You authorize Walks & Wags to enter your home solely for the purpose of providing pet care services during the agreed-upon dates and times. Keys, codes, and access information are stored securely. Physical keys are tagged with a code only — never with your name or address. You agree to provide accurate access details and to notify us promptly of any changes (codes, locks, alarm systems, gates).
7. Pet behavior and safety
- You agree to truthfully disclose any behavioral issues, medical conditions, or special needs of your pet before service begins.
- You agree to keep vaccinations current and provide records on request.
- If a pet displays aggressive behavior that puts the sitter, the pet, or others at risk, we may end the visit early. If risk cannot be managed safely, we reserve the right to end the booking.
- For your dog's safety, walks are conducted on leash unless a fully fenced, private area is used.
8. Emergencies and veterinary care
In the event of injury or illness, we will attempt to reach you first. If you cannot be reached, we will follow the written instructions you provided at the meet-and-greet — including your authorized vet and emergency contacts. You authorize us to seek emergency veterinary care on your behalf if necessary, and you agree to be financially responsible for any veterinary costs incurred. We are not liable for pre-existing medical conditions or for the outcome of veterinary treatment.
9. Insurance and liability
Walks & Wags is fully insured and bonded. Our liability is limited to the cost of services provided, except where applicable law requires otherwise. We are not responsible for damages caused by pets to their own home or belongings, for pre-existing property damage, or for events beyond our reasonable control (severe weather, power outages, road closures, hurricane events, etc.). We will always communicate proactively if conditions force us to adjust a visit.
10. Photos and updates
You agree that Walks & Wags may take photos and short videos of your pet during visits for the purpose of sending you updates. We may, with your separate consent (verbal or written), use anonymized or general photos for marketing on our website or social media. We will never tag, name, or identify your home, address, or your pet's full identity without your explicit permission.
11. Severe weather
Southwest Florida weather can be unpredictable. In the event of lightning, severe storms, or hurricane conditions, we will adjust walks and visits in the interest of pet and human safety. Long walks may be shortened or replaced with indoor enrichment and a short potty break. We will communicate with you about any adjustments.
12. Website use
This website is provided as-is, for informational purposes. Pricing and service details on the site are current as of the last update but may change — your confirmed booking governs. You may not scrape, copy, or republish the site without permission.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the site or services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
